When will there be someway to take the games with .exe extensions and play them on a MAC?

Really, how am I supposed to procrastinate at work?

I would like to play a tale of two kingdoms or the new KQ3, but just can't.

Is there anyway to play them with the DOSbox.  It works well with old DOS games, but not with the games mentioned.

This may be a "technical" question, but my main question is why don't you AGS folks care about us MAC users?  We're people too dang it.

Just get a new one with an intel processor and use Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop, or something else to run windows on it. Or, on a PPC mac, you can try to suffer through using Virtual PC. It's not sooooo bad. Also, there's a mac runtime for AGS, it just only works with very very few games.

You might want to try it again man ...  Because everything just works on Macs.

Though I don't know how you managed to mess it up because Macs work like you do, just intuitively, so there's no way you should have been able to mess it up.

This is quite a mystery indeed.

Try running Linux on your mac; most AGS games run under Linux.

Unfortunately, the Mac runtimes of AGS have not been updated for about two years, so games newer than that will probably not run "native".

When you start getting viruses, or at least stop being so proud that you don't, AGS will finally be ported to Macs as well  Larry Values!!11

No, don't use that patch, i've tried it, it had a crappy outlook, was full of viruses and stole some of my soul.

If you got an intel mac though, just run windows with boot camp or other similar program, it works fine.

I love all the anti-Mac sentiment being hurled at all of the highly-vocal, voracious, and apparently invisible Apple zealots in this thread.  Poor poor straw man.

It's particularly awesome when they're hurled by Windows zealots. Deep down, Apple and Microsoft are the same creatures, with superficially different attitudes and clothing. You're basically on the same side, guys. Here's a list of a different sort of "patches".

we're note zealots! we're realists!
and our side washes, everyone knows that people who use linux can't afford soap, and if you've bought a mac you no longer have any money to.
but really, people shouldn't complain when the choices they make aren't compatible with the choices other people make and then expect them to do something about it. you know when you buy a mac you know that it's not going to be able to run stuff that isn't designed for it UNLESS you use windows on it, and really just what is the point in buying a mac if you're just going to use windows? you bought your mac now live with it!

PC users just get on with whatever it is they're using their PCs for... MAC users go round telling everybody and opening up their Macbooks in the middle of Starbucks and looking around to make sure everyone knows about it.

Theyre the kind of people who come back from holiday and 'accidentally' spill all their Euros on the shop counter just so that you know they've been on holiday.  They're the kind of people who stand there, expectantly, waiting for you to make a comment on their haircut when it looks exactly the same as it did last time they had it cut two weeks ago.

i remember one marketing scheme mac had were these commercials of people explaining that they use macs because its so simple to use and how confused they were when using pc's. it was a great marketing strategy but i think they should have added a tag onto the end of the commercials saying "MAC! computer for dummies". so far i own a nice little render farm all on custome built PC's both with winxp32 and winxp64 and ive never had any problems. my audio system running nuendo runs soooo smoothly and my current project currently has 89 tracks and climbing and hasnt crashed yet. my friends mac running pro-tools needs to be rebooted every once in a while cuz something always messes up

The only problem I really have with Macs (aside from Mac Snobs - which Stupot nailed on the head! Very funny BTW!) is the over-all attitude mac users have that Macs are "better" than PCs.

Macs are not better, they are just different (and vice-versa).

This is a distinction that both sides seem to lose I think ...

I just like to tease mac users when their "everything just runs on a mac" statement doesn't hold true.

Just my opinion.
