Newer Update
MY COMPUTER EXPLODED!!!
I'm in the process of getting a new one, so it'll be a while before I get regular internet access Sad
..luckily my harddrive was spared... Smiley

Update
Linus and my sister have done an AMAZING job writing music for me, and I've finally incorporated it into the game
--- you MUST play the musical version.. it's a whole new experience!!! ---
www.divotdesign.com/PoEII.rar

Special Note
Quest for Glory did NOT invent Babayaga (and neither did I..).  She's a well-known character from Slavic folklore.

New Features
 - You didn't have to pester me for months to add animations (they're already there!)
 - Cartoon sequences to enhance story-telling!
 - An entry screen and end sequence
 - A cuter, "Walk" symbol, cuz the old one was weird

Story: Now that Rogi has fallen through the hole in the earth, (check out part I at divotdesign.com) she is one step closer to the home of Babayaga.  She can almost smell her idol cackling in the distance.  But alas, it is night in this creepy land, and (of course) wacky adventures ensue!

I've played a  little bit and so far this game is awesome, it has a deliciously evil atmosphere(I can see you've put a lot of application and time in your backgrounds and character animations) plus I love the cartoon sequences and that hot/rude blacksmith, haha! Well done!!!  Smiley

I seem to have found a bug.

Spoiler below, select the area to read the text
After you fill the old lady's prescription and she shoves you out the door, if you go back in and try to talk to her, she responds with the customary "What do you want?" The only response option you have is "Nothing.". However, when you hit the response, Rogi says it and then it goes right back to the response prompt, which still only has the "Nothing." You get caught in that loop.

I seem to have found a bug.

Sweet thanks!
Someone else also told me about this one.
I believe I've fixed it, but if anyone has it happen again starting now, lemmie know...
By the end I was really getting lost in a web of variables haha

First off love the game.  Art work is amazing and I've been drawn in so far.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but seemed odd

Spoiler below, select the area to read the text
I'm in the bear's house and just gave them the honey.  When I look at the upper area the game says there's something blue in the garbage pile.  I click on the garbage pile w/ the hand icon and Rogi does an animation but nothing is put into inventory nor mentioned on the screen....  Is this a bug or am I just missing something?

Also one other suggestion (and it's just that) would be to add a "Nothing Happens"/etc blurb to the button you push to see if you're right in the phylum puzzle.  I guess it should be obvious you have to push something but honestly at first I thought the game was going to tell me I was right once the proper alignment was set.  Only after using the eye command on the lower button did I realize that I needed to push it.  I had previously pushed it w/ the hand but no text or info came of that....again just a suggestion.

Thanks again for all of your hard work.  Looking forward to finishing and maybe eventually replaying it w/ music.

Yes, this is definitely a huge mistake on my part.  It's because there are two ways to do this, and I forgot and only tested one out each run through.  Uploading new file now.

If anyone had Jay's problem, you can still pass the game without re-downloading, but you do have to re-start that part and:
Spoiler below, select the area to read the text
Click on the actual blue item in the garbage pile, not the pile or nook itself.  It's hard to see, but you should be able to make out a bluish fish.

Thanks!

Weird.. it doesn't happen for me anymore.  Does it happen no matter what you try?  What other actions have you completed at that point?

Is there some way to look for every place in the program that a variable is called up?  Rather than searching room by room, hotspot by hotspot?

Re: music,
it's pretty much all done, I'm just matching up rooms to songs.. Smiley

Oh ok, I figured it out!!
If you use the hand tool to "open" the door, she can still come in right?

I was tired of switching tools in the last game, so I made almost all rooms (with maybe 1 exception) accessible simply by walking in that direction.. so I've stopped using the hand tool myself, and didn't find the bug.

Hopefully this fixes it, thanks!

I've played through both games and I must say I very much enjoyed them. Nice to see some Slavic mythology in action. Great graphics. The game could use some sound though (if not music then maybe some ambient sounds, for example when I saw the bison I subconsciously expected them to go moo... or whatever noise bison produce).

i loved the backgrounds and character art, some of the animations were pretty awesome (especially the bear related ones), great character poses and cutscenes, and pretty neat puzzles!
thanks for a lovely game! (1 and 2)
