The AGS Review Panel has left a comment about this game: A strong follow-up (actually a prequel) to Blackwell Legacy with some substantial gameplay improvements (you can now control two characters) at the cost of some graphic quality. The trade-off is well worth it.

This was a good game, a great game and the re-playability...well it's there. Dave Gilbert has reached the stage where he could publish his laundry list and he would get a bestseller. And you know why? Because even his laundry list is bound to be excellently written. This is the first Gilbert game to actually play more like a game than an interactive story, losing none of the qualities of the previous Blackwell game. Great graphics (though not quite as great as Legacy), great soundtrack, and - the best thing - quality actors reading quality lines. The Blackwell series is the closest thing the indie scene has to a Gabriel Knight series - and we're extremely welcome for it!
