Loved the game. The graphics, the humour, and the dark, sarcastic, 'evil' main character.

The game is well made, atmospheric, with very nice graphics and, uh, attractive character ^^.

But I didn't like the music - mostly. Some of the pieces make my ears hurt :( I strongly suggest remaking the music for this game!

Oops - sorry for the double comment :) I didn't think it had gone through.

Oops, I forgot to add: please make it easier for the player character to exit the room. Having the "walk-off" lines/regions so close to the edges is frustrating and annoying for the player.

Oh, I forgot to mention another point - please make it easier for the player character to walk out of the room. The lines (or regions) are far too close to the edges (or far too narrow). Requiring the user to click close to the edge of the window is not very user-friendly and quickly gets annoying. Thanks.

My comments are much the same as others'. Beautiful graphics, but it looks like only half the animations have been done. The puzzles are illogical in places - I spent half my time wondering what on earth I was supposed to be doing next, giving up, looking at the walkthrough and thinking "How was I supposed to guess that?". This could definitely do with some work, otherwise it makes some parts of the game little more than guesswork of the "try everything until something works" kind. This really does need some work, because sound gameplay is key to the enjoyment of any game.

But it's quite a nice game with a good story, and deserves a big "well done" on the graphics.

Corrosive!... but so short.
I'm anxious to play Volume II.

Just finished playing the game, and thought it deserved a comment :-)

The graphics are good in some rooms, while in others you seem to have gotten lazy. There are a lot of perspective problems, but in some rooms it works just fine (like in the classroom).
I noticed a lack of animation in some of the characters. Especially the butcher, but also the women in the saloon could use some animation just to avoid the static look.

The puzzles were ok. Personally I found the beer puzzle too hard and illogical. How in the world could you know that he wanted beer when nothing – not even the dialog suggest it?

And speaking of dialogue – I think the game needs more of it.

I know how hard it feels to receive a comment like this, but it is only meant as constructive critiques.

Good luck with your future games :-)

I played this as the original and loved it, so I'll download the new improved game - well worth playing though!

Uh? No comments here ? This is a great game, download it!

The strongest point is the graphics, the hand drawn hi res backgrounds are simply gorgeous, especially the charcter's house and the outside ones, in places really feels like a commercial game.

A pity for the lack of animations, in some parts this really stick out (like in the butcher case).

The story/character were good, the main character is well written and original, and supporting ones have that kind of wackyness typical of Lucasarts games, anyway you really should add more dialogue to them.

Puzzles were ok, the trite "give me this for that" is there only a couple of times (try to avoid it altogheter next time) .

All in all, one of the best medium-length listed on the site, I'll look forward to part II !
