The AGS Review Panel has left a comment about this game: NecroQuest shows effort on the part of Yarooze, but the uneven puzzle design (mostly consisting of walking to one room and back several times) artificially extends what would be an even shorter game. Still, the game shows promise and is worth a look!

Yes, the puzzles are not complicated, but if you don't like slow walking there is at least an option in the game control to speed things up. GOOD POINTS: the world is intriguing and the cut scenes are hilarious and well animated. The backgrounds are simply awesome, and the politics behind the scenes is eerily familiar. The merging of technology and the arcane is nothing short of brilliant. DRAWBACKS: Too much sex!!! Just kidding. But seriously, there is too much sex. Some of the text needs polishing, and the puzzles, as said, are a bit simple. OVERALL: As first games go, it is very well done. The whole 'necromancer' things adds a nice twist. Wonderful graphics animation, and some amusing dialogue. Puzzles are not too taxing, but it's fun to play. A great first game. I liked the fact that there seems to be more than just what the game offers: we learn of a whole world and I'm eager to know what happens next. I liked the ending as well. However, the walking speed is too slow and the puzzles and the writing could be improved in my opinion. I hope to see part 2 soon though!
